The PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana process involves online registration, application for rooftop solar installation, obtaining feasibility approval, and installing the system. After installation, the system is inspected, and once approved, the subsidy is credited to the beneficiary’s bank account.
Visit the official PM Surya Ghar website and register by providing details like state, electricity distribution company, consumer number, and contact information.
Log in with your consumer number and mobile number, and apply for the rooftop solar installation through the online portal.
Wait for the feasibility approval from your electricity distribution company (DISCOM).
Once approved, select a registered vendor within your DISCOM and proceed with the installation of the solar plant.
After installation, apply for a net meter. Once the net meter is installed and inspected by the DISCOM, a commissioning certificate will be generated.
